Genshin Pity Reset Calculator

Instantly calculate your current pity state, distance to soft/hard pity, and when your pity will reset. Track 50/50 status across Character, Weapon, and Standard banners.

How It Works

The Genshin Pity Reset Calculator is the essential companion for banner management. By analyzing your pull history count, it tells you exactly how many Primogems you need to reach the next "Gold" pull. It tracks the critical 'Guarantee' status—knowing whether your next 5-star is a coin-flip or a 100% featured character is the difference between a successful account and a frustrated one.

Formula Used

Current Pity = Pulls since last 5-star. Distance to Soft = max(0, 74 - Current). Distance to Hard = 90 - Current. Primogems Needed = Distance * 160.

Real Calculation Examples

  • 1Calculating how many Primogems are needed to reach soft pity when currently at 45 pity.
  • 2Tracking the status of a guaranteed 50/50 after losing to a standard character on the previous banner.
  • 3Estimating the total wishes required for a weapon banner "Fate Point" reset.

The Comprehensive Guide

Genshin Impact Pity Reset Calculator: Track Your Gold Pulls with Precision

In Genshin Impact, the difference between a successful account and a frustrated one often comes down to Pity Management. The gacha system, or "Wishing," is governed by a hidden counter that ensures you eventually receive a 5-star character or weapon. Our Genshin Pity Reset Calculator is designed to help you track this counter, understand when your pity will reset, and plan your Primogems accordingly.

What is "Pity" in Genshin Impact?

Pity is the community term for the game's internal counter that increases the probability of receiving a high-rarity item. There are two types of 5-star pity: Soft Pity and Hard Pity.

  • Soft Pity (74+): The range where your odds of a 5-star jump from 0.6% to approximately 30%+ per pull.
  • Hard Pity (90): The absolute guarantee that you will receive a 5-star pull if you haven't yet.

Pity Reset Thresholds

Banner Type Soft Pity Starts Hard Pity Cap Fate Point Reset?
Character Event 74 90 No (Carries Over)
Weapon Event 63 80 YES (Resets per Banner)
Standard Banner 74 90 N/A

When Does Pity Reset?

Your pity counter resets to Zero the moment you pull any 5-star (Gold) item. It does not matter if it was pull #1 or pull #90; the counter starts over. This is the "Pity Reset." Importantly, pulling a 4-star (Purple) item does not reset your 5-star pity.

The 50/50 Reset and Guarantees

There is a second layer to the Pity Reset: the 50/50 Guarantee. 1. If you pull a featured 5-star (e.g., the character on the banner art), your "Guarantee" status is reset to 50/50. 2. If you pull a "Standard" 5-star (Diluc, Mona, Qiqi, etc.), your "Guarantee" status is NOT reset; instead, it becomes 100%. Your NEXT 5-star will be the featured one.

Our calculator allows you to track this status so you know exactly when your next "Win" is 100% certain.

Why Use a Pity Tracker?

Genshin Impact does not provide a simple number like "45/90" in the UI. Instead, you must open your Wish History and count the entries manually—6 entries per page. For a player at 75 pity, that's over 12 pages of counting! Our calculator simplifies this: just input the number of pulls you've done since your last gold sparkle, and we provide the statistics.

Common Mistakes: The "Building Pity" Fallacy

One of the most dangerous behaviors in the Genshin community is "Building Pity." This is when a player pulls on a banner they don't like, intending to "get closer to 90" for a future banner. The Math: Every pull has a chance of success. If you are at 40 pity and accidentally pull a 5-star early, you have "wasted" your pity reset on a character you didn't want. If you were on a Guaranteed 5-star, you have effectively lost 16,800 Primogems worth of value. Always wait for the character you truly want!

Weapon Banner Specifics: Beware the Reset!

The Weapon Banner has a unique reset mechanic called the Epitomized Path. While your "Pity" (the number of pulls) carries over between weapon banners, your Fate Points do NOT. If you have 2/2 Fate Points and the banner ends today, you will have 0/2 Fate Points on the next banner. This is a total reset of your guarantee progress. Our calculator highlights these deadlines to ensure you don't lose your investment.

Conclusion: Strategy Over Luck

Teyvat is a world of magic, but the gacha is a world of math. By using the Genshin Pity Reset Calculator, you turn "I hope I get it" into "I know I will get it." Keep your counts accurate, manage your guarantees, and save your Primogems for the characters that will truly elevate your account. Happy Wishing!
